My Strengths Training for Life
As in the world of sport, initial setbacks are all part of the learning process. The My Strengths Training scheme teaches you how to utilise positive mindsets through a mixture of workshops, individual and team challenges. This are delivered throughout the #YouCan programme and have been developed in partnership with the School of Sport, Exercises and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham.
In applying the positive mindsets used in sport, this will help you:
- Build mental stamina and resilience
- Apply this to other situations to overcome perceived barriers and achieve positive results
Young people taking part in this programme are consequently more motivated to try again if they suffer an initial setback in pursuing their education, training, or employment goals.
